This CV operates at 35 degrees continuous with no problem and providing a higher torque (3000 ft-lbs) rating. So we start with a higher torque CV, hence a bigger CV, so that at 30 degrees, the torque rating is still over what most rigs can put out. A half ton 1310 stock CV is rated at 1600 ft-lbs and it will not suffice for a heavy duty performance truck.
